Accommodation

The accommodation comprises of individually decorated single and twin rooms each with their own hand basins and some with en suite facilities. All rooms are fully furnished but residents may if they wish, bring their own cherished furniture.

Meals

Meals served at the home carefully prepared using only quality produce and are both wholesome and appetising.
Special dietary needs can easily be catered for. The meals are served in our dining room or in the residents own room if preferred.

Facilities

There is a large lounge for use by the residents, equipped with television, video and audio equipment installed. The television is equipped with the loop system designed to aid the hard of hearing.
Television points are installed in all residents rooms.
Several newspapers are delivered daily.
There is an ongoing Entertainments program operated within the home which includes, indoor and outdoor activities and trips depending on the season and individual wishes.
Library with large print books. There is a selection of stationary, stamps, toiletries, etc, available for purchase if required.
Local clergy visit the home regularly, all religions are welcome and personal wishes are respected.

Hairdresser, chiropodist, physiotherapist and Dentist.

Visiting

It is our priority to maintain an atmosphere as homely as possible, we would therefore encourage relatives and friends to visit or take residents for outings with as little restriction as possible, bearing in mind the day to day running of the home.

Philosophy of Care

Within the home, all staff endeavour to provide the residents with a happy and caring atmosphere, and as an independent and a flexible a life style as possible. Whilst meeting the needs of residents, the staff also aim to maintain their, self respect and self esteem, in response to the individual’s ever changing needs.

Ascot is a family owned, friendly and cheerful home with a nice atmosphere and we always try to involve family and friends in their daily life in the home.
